Presentations on Using Amazon’s Web Services and OpenStreet Map and an iPhone App that Maps Government Data
Today is the last Wednesday of the month, which means it's time for another GeoDC meetup.
There will be two short presentations at the meetup. Tom MacWright from Development Seed will talk about how using Amazon's web services and OpenStreetMap has helped our mapping team design, render, and host custom maps. Brian Sobel of Innovation Geo will present Are You Safe, an iPhone App that uses open government data to give users up-to-date and hyper-local information about crime.
The meetup will run from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the offices of Fortius One at 2200 Wilson Blvd, Suite 307 in Arlington, just a short walk from the Courthouse metro stop on the orange line. Hope to see you there!
